Witchy Wednesday Feature : A Pinch of RPG Witches with Timothy S. Brannan

 It's almost autumn,70 days till Samhain (that's Halloween for you muggles) as I write this post.

It's storming this morning, and I'm drinking a lovely mug of pumpkin spice coffee. A perfect time to write about witches. Not just any witches mind you, but witches from  RPG game supplements written by long time RPG blogger, and supplement writer Timothy S. Brannan, and published by Other Side Publishing.

Timothy was kind enough to send me Five physical books. The list will begin with the newest from 2020.

In all honesty, I am not a game master, I prefer to play.

With that said, I've spent the last 20yrs around all sorts of RPG and Tabletop wargaming books, and I can honestly say these books are well thought out and put together. You have NO idea, or maybe you do. How absolutely frustrating it is to search for info, spells, etc about your character. I love how simple Timothy has made everything to find. I also love not only the concept, but the care he put into creating these books. Being a multigenerational pagan witch myself, I can also say, he's done his research. These books aren't a bunch of thrown together nonsense. Some of these spells, with real life added tweaking could be made into actual spells and rituals I personally would use. Actually, as I was reading the books, especially The Pumpkin Spice Witch Tradition, I thought to myself, "this spell would be cool to turn into a real one, and this spell, and this spell." My witchy creative juices started to flow as I imagined the concept for real spells I'd turn these fake spells into for real world witchery. So, I'd say that alone warrants ANYONE who is interested in playing witches give these awesome books a go!

Speaking of the Pumpkin Spice Witch tradition, it's my favourite . I love the witch on the cover, and the whole feel of the book, and the spells of course as I mentioned previously. Of course Autumn is my favourite time of year, and like Timothy I'm all about Pumpkin Spice anything. We are playing a White Wolf RPG game soon and this book has given me an incredible idea for my witch character.

So my RPG playing minions. Whether you play the games associated with these books or not, pick them up because they make great material for reference, ideas, and inspiration.
